If you’ve ever looked at your website and felt a quiet sense of disconnection, like it no longer fully reflects who you are today, this one’s for you.

As creative service providers grow, especially in the wedding industry, there often comes a moment when their work has truly evolved to an entirely new level, but their visual presence just doesn’t reflect that new version. The visuals feel like a younger version of you, maybe even the version of you that was just starting out and finding your footing. The messaging no longer filters the right inquiries and sending your website link comes with hesitation instead of pride. It happens to all of us, and it’s completely normal!

That’s exactly where Sage & Stone Weddings found themselves when Codi Stonehouse reached out to us at Femme Collective®. What followed was a deeply intentional rebrand and custom website design rooted in refinement, clarity, and connection designed to support the next level of Codi’s business while honoring the heart of what makes her work so very special.

The Challenge: When Your Brand No Longer Reflects Your Experience

Codi has been immersed in the events world since 2013. With over a decade of industry experience, she and her team offer a curated range of wedding and event planning services that will blow your mind. From month-of coordination and event management to full-service planning and elopements they have you covered.

Up until now her previous brand and website had supported her beautifully. It reflected where she was at the time and helped her connect with incredible couples along the way. But as her experience deepened and her team expanded, both her style and goals began to shift. So if you’re feeling this way too, please know it’s completely normal. It means both you and your business have continued to grow which is incredibly exciting!

Codi’s Goals for Her Transformation:

She came to us not because anything was “wrong” per-say, but because she had outgrown what once served her. She knew that to stay aligned and emotionally connected to her business it was time for a transformation.

  • Elevate the Sage & Stone brand to reflect the level of refinement, care, and expertise she brings to every event
  • Attract more aligned, long-term clients while gently filtering out inquiries that weren’t the right fit
  • Establish immediate trust and authority
  • Create a website experience that clearly guides visitors toward working together
  • Ensure the brand feels emotionally aligned with who Codi and her team are today and how they want Sage & Stone to grow into the future

The Vision: Old Money Romance Meets Modern Refinement

From our very first conversation, it was clear Codi wasn’t looking for a trendy overhaul. She was searching for a brand that felt timeless, elevated, and deeply aligned with her creative instincts.

Vintage yet modern. Romantic old-money elegance with a subtle western edge.

The strategy was not to erase the western influence she loves but to refine it, allowing her brand to appeal to a wider range of clients without losing its soul.

Our strategic approach:

  • Vintage depth through detailed, hand-drawn illustrations and patterns
  • Old-money elegance through a carefully curated color palette and typography
  • Modern clarity through clean layouts and intentional spacing
  • Emotional cohesion through imagery that reinforces the feeling of the brand, not just the portfolio

This wasn’t about making the site feel “fancy.”
It was about making it feel true.

What We Created: A Brand + Website Built to Filter, Support, and Elevate

This project included a fully custom experience from the ground up with every detail intentionally designed to serve both Codi and her future clients.

Deliverables included:

  • One-of-a-kind hand-drawn vintage-inspired illustrations
  • A custom brand identity, including a hand-drawn ampersand
  • A bespoke brand pattern used throughout the site and beyond
  • A custom Showit website design
  • Strategic blog structure for long-term SEO growth
  • Full SEO optimization and education for ongoing updates

But the real work went deeper than deliverables.

Strategic Design Decisions That Made the Difference

1. Using Illustration as a Signal of Taste & Craft

Rather than relying solely on photography, we introduced intricate, hand-drawn illustrations inspired by vintage stamps and heirloom details.

Why this mattered:

  • Instantly communicates craftsmanship and intentionality
  • Signals a level of curation that attracts higher-end clients
  • Custom brand patterns allow for optimized brand cohesion
  • Differentiates Sage & Stone from trend-driven competitors

2. Refining, Not Removing, the Western Influence

Instead of leaning into overt western motifs, we softened the influence:

  • Subtle references rather than already played out themes
  • A local mountain range illustration that feels heirloom-worthy, not trendy
  • Floral illustrations representing the birth month of her babies
  • Her iconic buffalo skull illustration that she’s carried since day one but with an updated detailed vintage twist
  • A palette and fonts that feel grounded and elegant

3. Creating Clear Pathways to Work Together

One of her biggest goals was clarity.

The new site:

  • Clearly outlines services and levels of support
  • Guides visitors intuitively toward inquiry
  • Filters out misaligned leads before they ever reach Codi’s inbox

Good design doesn’t just look beautiful it has to convert for you.

4. Curating Imagery to Support Emotion, Not Just Proof

Every image on the site was chosen to reinforce the feeling of the brand:

  • Romantic, intentional moments
  • Editorial yet warm compositions
  • Visual breathing room to let the brand speak

The result is a site that feels immersive, not overwhelming.

The Result: A Brand That Finally Matches the Experience

When we revealed the brand and website, Codi’s response said everything:

“Girl. The way my jaw just DROPPED TO THE FLOOR!!! You perfectly captured the old money, meets vintage with a hint of western perfectly… This brand will truly help me move up to the next level.”
– Cody Stonehouse | Owner of Sage + Stone Weddings

After launch, she shared:

“I can’t believe this is my brand I get to showcase now.”

And later, in her Google review:

“Kris and her team are absolutely AMAZING to work with! From day one, I felt so at ease and cared for. They were just as excited as I was the entire process and made everything feel so personal and intentional! I gave Kris just some broad ideas of a rebrand, more “vibes” you could say and she delivered more than what I could have imagined. She perfectly captured my brand and created the most beautiful website, I can’t believe this is my brand I get to showcase now! I had a few minor changes to some items as we were wrapping up the process and they were so quick to accommodate. I highly recommend Femme Collective for all your branding and website needs – they are truly the best!”

While the site launched just yesterday, success here isn’t measured only in metrics it’s measured in alignment, clarity, and confidence.

Codi now:

✓ Feels proud sending her website link

✓Has a brand that reflects her expertise and taste

✓ Is positioned to attract higher-end, better-fit clients

✓Has a foundation built for sustainable growth

Steal These 3 Takeaways and Apply Them to Your Creative Business!

If you’re a wedding industry creative or service provider, here are three takeaways you can apply immediately:

1. Your Brand Should Filter for You

If you’re fielding inquiries that aren’t aligned, your website may be part of the problem.

2. Evolution Is a Sign of Growth Not Failure

Outgrowing your brand doesn’t mean you got it wrong. It means you’ve grown.

3. Emotion Matters as Much as Strategy

If your brand no longer feels like you, your audience will feel that disconnect too.
